| | TCMax® Tool Control / Asset
Management for Aviation and Industry, "Software That Talks!" tm
The Aviation & Industry tool control software package TCMax was developed to allow a tool crib to
quickly issue and turn in tools. It was designed to allow a user to
issue/turn in without having to look at the computer screen. It maintains
permanent records of tools and where they were used. It tells you who has
what tools and where they were used with a single click. Significant
design effort was placed on saving keystrokes. It can be used with or
without a barcode scanner. Calibration and inspection dates are monitored.
"Overdue Calibration" is said in a loud voice to warn the user to
check the calibration date of this tool. It does all of this using a
single computer screen. You don't have to switch screens to enter new
employees, to enter new tools, to issue, or to turn in tools, saving you a lot
of time. Perfect for managing your FEMA and other Homeland
Security assets because, during an
inventory, it will prompt you if you are missing anything from that room or box
and it will prompt you if you find something that does not belong in that area
and prompts you for things that are overdue calibration, overdue
inspection, or expired.
Also perfect in an auto dealership for managing special tools and dealer
plates!
TCMax® is the fastest to issue/turn in and offers the most accurate process
for tracking your tools in the world. Your line at your tool crib will
disappear. Your employees will be earning your company money rather than
standing in line waiting. There are a ton of features in TCMax as you see
below but they all work in the background, not interfering with the fast issue
and turn in of your assets.
Available exclusively from Snap-on® Tools Industrial /
Government sales
division. Contact us for the telephone number of your local Snap-on Industrial
or Government salesperson.
TCMax is an approved Snap-on® Level 5
Tool Control ™ solution.
Quoting one of our customers, "If you can run an ATM then you can run TCMax®"
Another customer had not been able to complete an inventory in over a week
but with TCMax he completed it in less than a day and for the first time "really
knew his inventory status."
Multiple identical tools with a single barcode number!
Track things like safety glasses or helmets that eventually you want returned,
issued to multiple employees but using a single tool barcode.
TCMax works with the USAF "Standard Desktop" with no changes!
New Enterprise Features, want to add a single item to every location
that is using TCMax, or do you want to duplicate an entire set of tools and
equipment for a new branch of your company, TCMax does this with a couple of
clicks! Great for Enterprises running Sql Server to their outlying
branches. Maintain historical maintenance records, discrepancies and the
actions taken to repair those discrepancies.
Fully meets U.S. Army regulations DA PAM 710-2-1, paragraph 6-3c for tools
that are to be issued for more than one day but less than 30 days and paragraph
6-3d for tools that are issued for more than 30 days. Also added the DA
FORM 2062 which is automatically filled by your inventory further complying with
DA PAM 710-2-1. Change report in DA 2062 format that is used to issue
weapons or other high value/sensitive items.
Fully meets U.S. Air Force Instruction AFI 21-101, Chapter 10 covering tool
control unlike "TAS" that fails to ask where the tool is going!
Also allows users to use the existing barcode on a torque wrench from the
calibration laboratory
rather than adding an additional illegal barcode. And now print AF 2005
forms from a number of spots within TCMax. USAF A4 has approved the use of
software other than TAS via message 241155Z Sep 08. Certificate to
Operate (CTO) approved for USAF Networks on February 26, 2009! Check
with your COMM folks, TCMax should now appear on the approved software list.
Fully meets U.S. Marines TAMCN C70742B and SL-3-10024A July 2003 for a
component list of tools along with appropriate inventory logging on their
standard report.
Also included is our custom label
maker software. A separate program that easily (really!) allows you to
print your own tool identification barcode labels on any Windows compatible laser or ink jet
printer. This addition really automates the tool control package.
Capture doubly encrypted signature in an Excel spreadsheet for
proof of issuing an asset. This requires Microsoft Office (versions 97
through 2007) to be installed on your machine.
Download Fully Functional Version 8.0
(readme.txt 4 kilobytes, setup.exe 68 megabytes) Limit of 45 tools until
license password is entered.
Download PowerPoint presentation (700
kilobytes) This PowerPoint presentation gives you a quick example of
how easily TCMax works. As you click through the slides you see a tool
actually issued and hear the same audio responses that the real TCMax gives.

Key Benefits
 | Issue or turn in tools as fast as you can scan them when using a Pentium
1.5 GHz or faster |
 | Computer "talks" to you telling you what it is doing so you
don't have to watch the computer screen on every issue/turn in ... this one
feature virtually guarantees that your employees won't scan something and
not have it accepted by the computer |
 | Calibration and inspection dates are checked with each issue or turn in |
 | Over 100 reports |
 | Parent/Child relationships, issue a toolbox that has an overdue torque
wrench in it & you get the Overdue Calibration warning |
 | Six English voices for the computer randomly picked, the seven through
ten are Spanish, French, German, and Italian |
 | Computer says "Issue", "Turn In",
"Employee", "Location", "Enter Quantity" as necessary with each keyboard
or barcode scanner entry |
 | "Overdue Calibration", "Caution-Tool Removed", "New Tool", "New
Employee", "Inspection Overdue", "Employee Not Certified" are in a different voice to catch the operator's attention to
these non-routine events |
 | Tool barcodes can be alpha/numeric digits of any kind, of any length |
 | Employee ID cards and ID numbers of any length |
 | Virtually every action is done from one main, simple screen |
 | Microsoft Access® database or
SQL Server® and SQL Server Express
and Oracle® |
 | Import/Export to a database from multiple 'source' databases |
 | Fast/easy way to perform
complete physical inventories |
 | Turn in any tool & log grid displays all of the tools left not
turned in by the person that had issued the tool (This makes the program
instantly more informative!) |
 | Unlimited inspection items for each "tool" ... great for
issuing keys for a vehicle & making sure all oil changes, etc. are
complied with by date or by mileage/hour meter reading |
 | Issue expendable items. Report tells you when you are below low
inventory limits and tells you how many to order. |
 | Additional reports include inventory for each tool box, calibration,
temporary duty |
 | So fast and easy to use even your most stubborn employees will use it
without complaining (much) |

 | Tools that require employee certification before use will only issue to those employees
that are certified. Each tool has its own list of certified employees,
the date of certification and the date that the certification expires. |
 | Multiple shops can share a single database. Entries are separated by
Shop Code for all screen displays and reports. Management can see all
shops at once if desired. |
 | Multiple identical tools issued under a SINGLE BARCODE.
Use this to issue tools when you don't care which one comes back, not around
aircraft. Helmets or safety goggles are another type of item that can
use this feature. |
 | Issue multiple tools with a single scan! Check the
appropriate box in each tool to enable this feature. Scan the tool
barcode and the program asks "Enter Quantity" defaulting to one. This
feature works both for expendable tools and tools that must be turned back in. |
 | Filter logged records by date. |
 | Search screen that allows you to quickly find any tool knowing only part
of its name, and who currently has the tool. |

due based on the inspection interval. |

inventory date. Reports tell you what you have or
have not inventoried in a given time period. |
 | Automatically prints receipts on an optional side-by thermal printer |
 | Physical Inventory mode of operation that makes inventorying a
trailer, vehicle, or room of assets extremely simple, fast and accurate! |
 | 2-D DataMatrix Direct Part Mark support, you can tell the difference
whether the employee scanned the barcode marked on the tool or the label
next to the tool. Label maker creates special labels in this case. |
 | Print 2-D barcodes like the PDF 417 and DataMatrix. |
