Pocket PC version of TCMax

For Windows Mobile 5, Pocket Windows 2003 second edition, and now for Windows CE like in the Hand Held Products Dolphin 7600.

TCMaxMobile is our TCMax^® version for a Pocket PC.  It retains most of the features of TCMax^® while running on a Pocket PC.  It simply requires a Pocket PC that has Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition or newer such as Windows Mobile 5 found in the Symbol MC-70 or Windows CE as on the HHP 7600.

Hardware Required

Symbol MC-50 or MC-70 solution:

        Symbol has a couple of  Pocket PC scanner combination units that seem rather rugged, plus they are an all in one unit.   Contact us for our price.  If you should purchase them yourself be sure that you also ask for the docking station, power supply, and ALL cables as they are not normally quoted together!

HHP Dolphin 7600 solutions:

        HHP has  a number of Pocket PCs but the Dolphin 7600 really works well.  If you should let your battery go completely dead, when you start to charge it again TCMaxMobile is automatically reinstalled by the 7600!  No data is lost.

That's all of the hardware that you need for your Pocket PC.  TCMaxMobile works in concert with your desktop version of TCMax so you will still need to setup the desktop version of TCMax^® on a regular PC.  Our tests show that after scanning 500 items that the scanner only consumes approximately 50% of the external battery power.  So, you should be able to scan up to 1000 items without recharging your pocket pc.

Retained Capability

TCMaxMobile for the Pocket PC talks!  Scan an employee number, the pocket pc says "Employee".  Scan the location that the tool is going to and the pocket pc says "Location".  Scan tools and the pocket pc says "Issue", "Turn In", "Overdue Calibration", "Inspection Overdue", "Enter Quantity", and all of the same audio messages used in TCMax to provide you with audio prompts of your tool issue process without having to look at the computer screen.

When you place the pocket pc in the docking station, Microsoft ActiveSync® automatically updates the mobile database on your computer.  A single click from within TCMax itself copies all records into the main TCMax database and performs all necessary updates.  It can't hardly get any easier to quickly and accurately control all of your tools and equipment!

Additional Capability

TCMaxMobile offers additional capability.  You can switch 'modes' of operation to do Physical Inventories, and Update Inspection Due Dates, all with a single scan.
