TCMax is perfect for performing a Physical Inventory of your assets whether they are tools, computers, fire extinguishers, furniture, whatever.  Here's how you would perform an inventory of your stuff:

1.  Enter or scan your container number (building, room, vehicle, trailer, tool box, etc.)

The computer says "Yes to issue Children?", you click Yes and everything in the container is instantly issued to you

2.  Scan every barcode in sight listening to the computer say "Turn In"

If the computer says "Turn In", you don't even need to look at the computer screen, just scan the next item's barcode

If the computer says "Issue" than this item belongs in a different container, change the Parent Barcode or move it to the proper container

If the computer says "Enter Quantity", it will display how many of that item should be there.  Count them and enter the number that you found.

3.  When you think that you are done click the "Show tools that are out" screen.  Everything that you missed (or is missing) is on this list.

That is all there is to it.  Performing a complete physical inventory can not possibly be easier, faster, or more accurate!
